The Marriage Preparation Process

Marriage Preparation Day is held each month on the 2nd Sunday of the month from 2-5 pm.  It takes place in Room 13 of the Holy Family Grade School.  Please enter through the gate on Elk Avenue.  YOU MUST REGISTER IN ADVANCE TO ATTEND THIS CLASS.  Please call Cecile at 818-247-2222 x223 to register.  If an insufficient number of couples sign up for a particular month’s Marriage Information Day, the day may be cancelled and any who have signed up will be notified.

You may schedule your wedding date as soon as possible.  In order to schedule your date and time, please call Cecile at 818-247-2222 x223 to check for availability.  Your deposit will be required to secure the date.  Please see the brochure (Marriage Brochure) for fees and required deposits.  You may request a particular priest or one will be assigned to handle your wedding and preparation.

Please keep in mind that unlike most parishes, Holy Family’s marriage fees are all-inclusive.  No hidden extras.  The fees may appear to be higher than some other parishes, but in reality the rates are comparable.

In order for your wedding preparation to go smoothly, we ask that you have an initial visit with the priest or deacon. During this first session, the priest or deacon will record your personal history, review the wedding pamphlet and its requirements, and then set another appointment date.

YEAR FOR PRIESTS

Please Pray for Priests

Dear Lord,
we pray that the Blessed Mother
wrap her mantle around your priests
and through her intercession
strengthen them for their ministry.

We pray that Mary will guide your priests
to follow her own words,
"Do whatever He tells you" (Jn 2:5).

May your priests have the heart of St. Joseph,
Mary’s most chaste spouse.

May the Blessed Mother’s own pierced heart
inspire them to embrace
all who suffer at the foot of the cross.

May your priests be holy,
filled with the fire of your love
seeking nothing but your greater glory
and the salvation of souls.
Amen.
Saint John Vianney, pray for us.
